metroid prime 3

Postby nick0320 » Tue Aug 24, 2010 9:15 pm

well hello all you reading my review on "metroid prime 3" the 4th installment in the series believe it or not. :)

so to start us off the metroid prime series stared off as a recreation of the sidescroller on the original Nintendo called metroid. the first 2 games were origionally for gamecube but was later released as a triliogy pack for wii after the release of metroid prime 3.

Story: metroid prime 3 features our favorite bounty hunter, Samus Aran. many bounty hunters had been called and given assignments for one mission (i wont say what or it might ruin the game) thats where the gameplay starts is in that space station to get your assignment. at many parts the story was difficult to understand.

Gameplay: like the previous games in the series it is a first person game that involves shooting all over the place and solving various puzzles using the power suit and morph ball. in contrast, the controls are a little difficult due to the player having to constantly point at the screen so unfortunately it only gets a four

Sound: they've done it again. this game features great music that gives an eerie feeling to the game, and the voice acting cast fit the characters perfectly.

Graphics: unbelievable. the graphics in game are stunning, unique and give a cool dark feel to the player. textures are origional and fit nicely, and special effects add alot to the game.

Overview: a great game. great graphics and sound and awesome levels and gameplay. buy it.

RESULTS!!!:
Presesntation:

Graphics:

Gameplay:

Sound:

Lasting Appeal to Audience:

OVERALL:          :|

im hoping to go to the midnight release :D in like 5 days. it loooks like metroid prime but with a much better style gameplay combining both prime and classic games.

well you dont use the nun-chuck only the wii remote sideways and that is in sidescroller mode. and if you want prime mode you aim the controller at the tv. so the controls look pretty solid :)

well i loved the old style gameplay. but i also loved prime. so the combination of the two style and bringing back the art style of the older games make it more anticipated than any other metroid game to me!

when your testing your game for the very first time you cant help but wave it around like that :D and like i said, its not a finished engine. when i finally decide to finish it it will have a much smoother feel

how do you run your games, do you play them as an executable or an iso on your computer or do you use an iso with an emulator?

kinda but not really :) i play them using my compiler. so i play them in an editor so its not even a file yet. once my programs are finished i can do 1 of two things. press it in to an .exe file and play it that way, or make an .iso and burn the install file to a disk. the way i do it you cant rip the iso image from the disk or it sends an email to me about it. its a little security thing i set up :D im very proud of it :) but yeah playing it is very simple :)

it wasn't under maintenance 5 minutes ago when i posted it :P they offer everything that has to do with technology. hardware development, hardware programming, software programming, video game programming, modeling, animating, and a whole lot more. it's looked upon very highly in the gaming industry almost everyone at sega of america or nintendo of america was at digipen at one point
